Default Flex addon for roo 1.1.4

Right, seeing as there will be no more development on the 1.1.x release; does anyone at spring think it might be possible to get a compatible version of the flex addon?

Seems like the perfect time to strike and get this very useful tool a bit more use?

I submitted a Jira bug report on the problem with the flex scaffold failing with the field exists message. It appears to be the only bug, but of course since that doesn't complete there may be more. I really want to use it, but for now I just use ROO to get the persistence and entities and do the rest in Flash Builder.

    Jeremy,

With the new milestone release of 1.5.0 are we getting closer to this? I would like to include the Roo flex add-on in the slated section of Roo in Action but will need to strike it if the add-on isn't working by the end of writing (which is sometime in the summer).

Also, is it being considered, if ready, to move it into the standard add-ons? Or is there a push to move the GWT add-on out of the core?

Sure, this is probably better posted in the roo forum but I figured at least for this add-on we should discuss the status here.

    Thanks,

    Ken

Flex/Flash is getting crushed by HTML5 canvas. Time and effort is best invested elsewhere imho.

Though I could really use the plugin now in my project actually.

EDIT: so my vote counts as I yes

there also a work around btw for using the latest Roo versions, just create roo project without the rooflex jars...then add them en run the flex setup etc...
