Professional Spring will focus on core spring and Spring MVC; however, there is a book under development focusing on applying the Spring Framework towards the development of standalone applications and rich clients. This work will devote a substantial portion to the rich client project, as well as other rich-client related issues in a enterprise, high concurrency environment including async messaging, EAI, remoting, and global transaction management. It will be a good compliment to Professional Spring.
The publisher will be Addision Wesley, and I will be the author. Development is just now getting started, but a completion date of Spring 2005 would be a good estimate. This should be good for rich client, definitely--one to get the word out and secondly to provide more time for development, particularly to support reaching our goal of a 1.0 release.
