Documentation system question

What does Spring use as their documentation system? Docbook? Does the same documentation source generate both the pdf and html versions?

Yes, it comes from a DocBook source. Check out the Ant "refdoc" target. Whilst on the subject of documentation, I use XMLmind for DocBook editing the Acegi Security docs.
