Lightweight Container Case Studies

Has anyone created any case studies that examine using lightweight containers? I am looking for something to show to my manager. I would prefer if this was more directed at spring instead of other frameworks, but anything would suffice.

What kind of case studies are you looking for. Descriptions of how development was done using lightweight containers? Or about a system developed with lw containers? Both? Performance?

I'm planning on writing some in the near future for some quite large projects we've done lately so it'd be good to hear what people want to have in there (what it should focus on).

Thanks for the response. Basically, I am looking for something to provide to my boss and management relating to the benefits that others have received buy implementing a lightweight framework.

I have provided to them my experience working with spring. I am currently in the process of re-writing our core product using Spring and Hibernate, vs. the existing EJB Framework that they have built.

I have explained to them the benefits of being able to write and run unit tests anywhere, not dependent on the app server.

I have also talked about scalability and portability and vendor neutrality.

I believe they would be interested in real world experiences that others have had in developing systems in this manner.
