Yellow rectangles on right side of bean def files

I have several yellow rectangles on the right hand side of the editor when I have a bean definition file open. They are in the column immediately to the right of the scroll bar. When I hover over them I see "Line 95", "Line 112", etc...

1) What are these?
2) How do I get rid of them if I want to?

Typically they indicate errors and validation hints, but in your case it sounds like a bug somewhere. Can you send me some steps how to reproduce? Or a small example project? That would be great!
