Thread: Network proxy configuration

  1. #1

    Default Network proxy configuration

I am behind a proxy and was unable to get donwloads, update through STS.

The only configuration that seems to work for me is the following:

    • NATIVE
for the ActiveProvider in the Network configurations préférences

The tip was to configure IE (Internet options) with manual settings for the proxy serveur and port - do not let IE autmatically detect the proxy.

    Hope this help someone.

Default How do I configure automatic proxy configuration URL?

    I am behind a proxy.
In the browser I am using a script to determine what proxy server to use.
In firefox this is called "automatic proxy configuration url" and it is pointing to a script (pac).

How do I set that up in STS?

I am not aware of an automatic way to configure a proxy in Eclipse defined with such a script.
    (see also https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=279471)

There are also some hints here:

Take a look at the comments where the guy asks for the pac file, so you basically have to download the pac file and manually transfer those settings in there into the Eclipse proxy configuration.
