Thread: Time for forum reorganization

    Default Time for forum reorganization

Now that Spring Data is the name of a distinct Spring project, the current forum organization with a forum at Data and subforums for NoSQL, GemFire, and LDAP is both inappropriate and massively confusing.

Best to bite the bullet now and reorg the forum layout before Spring Data goes GA.

Thanks for the feedback - it is a change but we thought it would be better this way since we always had a Data module.
So having both Data and Spring Data would be quite confusing (even more then it is today in our opinion).

Yes having Data and Spring Data would be confusing. But there is nothing useful about the current Data branch and no reason for it to remain. In fact the three forums beneath it are duplicated at the Spring Projects level!

You could make a Data Access forum (as it's referred in the documentation) for discussions of @Transactional and such, or just move those issues to the Container forum.
