How to generate the file extension for Excel view?

My Excel view implement works well with a minor problem that I can't see how to generate a file name and the Excel file extension "xls". Without the file extension, a PC doesn't work any suitable programs for the download file. After some online research, I can't find any related information.

Does anyone know how to generate the file extension for Excel view??

What do you mean by Excel view? Are you referring to the Jasper support? If it is, I believe you need to pass the extension when writing it to the output stream or pass it as a report parameter.

I think your Excel is not working properly so Reinstall your Excel again and try again.
