Would like to know if this is possible:

Distribute a large batch job process across multiple servers (multi data center) by plugging another framework with Spring.

The idea is to take advantage of Spring Batch features and use something else (need inputs on what can this be) to achieve the following:

1. Distribute the load on geographically separated servers, with access to common data store (Active-Active implemented on DB servers)
2. Introduce fail-over capability.

Question:
Is this possible? If yes, what can be used to achieve this.
