Spring Security + Open SAML
This is something I think a few of you might find useful: Two sample web applications that implement an SSO solution with Open SAML and Spring Security.
The service provider sends AuthnRequests to the Identity Provider if an unauthenticated user tries to access a protected resource. If the user has not started a session at the IDP, the user is challenged with a form based login. Successful and unsuccessful attempts will generate a Response back to the SP. The SP will generate an authentication (user name and granted authorities) for successful auths.
The project source also contains several integration tests that generate/consume SAML messages. Very useful if you need to generate some sample requests/responses.
Both war files can found at https://sourceforge.net/projects/spring-saml/ Along with some very bland screen shots. Check out the README file for more details.
