Help with Web Scripts / Servlet Runtime

Hi there

I would like to try using standalone Web Scripts (i.e. outside of Alfresco). I noticed that there's an example web scripts WAR file but I'm struggling to find any documentation for it. All I want to do is add a custom web script then try to understand how to configure authentication for it (e.g. basic auth, kerberos, etc). Any ideas?

I noticed that the forum sticky references an article on Web Scripts by Erik Winlof. This was really useful and I was able to get Java-backed web scripts to work. Where can I find out how to use script-based Web Scripts. Also I'm looking for info on authentication - e.g. support for Kerberos, etc.
