I note that this project has assistance from VISA and is intended to build on top of a REST based API, that VISA is currently developing ?

Is the intention of this project to offer broad payment support for multiple payment providers, or to primarily be a Spring / Java Client to the forthcoming VISA REST Service?

Also what will the scope of the project be? Is it intended to provide integration at a service level, or will the project include web artifacts and controllers for handling interactions with the user and services such as those required to implement 3D Secure and redirection based services such as PayPal?

We have considerable experience in integrating with various Payment Services and would be interested in becoming involved if the scope and aims of the project are such that we could provide useful contributions.

Yes our intention is to provide broad support for various forms of payment as well as payment services. As an open-source project in incubation status we are very interested to hear from prospective users and customers in order to build a feature set that will serve our community well.

The initial scope is to provide service level integration. However we may consider going beyond that to help applications with common tasks around payment processing that have to do with meeting PCI security requirements, hooking in 3D secure, etc. Furthermore there is ample opportunity to provide value in this regard through Spring Roo add-ons, Grails plugins as well as Spring Integration adapters, all of which we intend on doing.

Excellent. We'd love to talk to you more about that.

Hi.

Is anything planned for ISO20022 support, a SEPA subset of this or the likes?
Anything like http://web.progress.com/en/artix-data-services/artix_data_services_index.html ?
