If you're using SpringSource Tool Suite (http://www.springsource.com/products/sts), you will need to upgrade (http://tinyurl.com/ycs2fl5) to STS 2.2.1 to use Roo 1.0.0.RC3. The new STS version supports an API change plus offers several nice new Roo integration features (like global CTRL+R keys plus console hyperlinking).
