Jon Rose and James Ward published a terrific reference card on integrating Flex with Spring using the M2 release.

I followed it step by step and all I got was a lousy "Client.Error.MessageSend" (can anyone shed any light on this?).

The ref card is a bit out of date at the moment due to some of the minor changes in RC1. As I understand, they will be updating it soon, but to my knowledge that hasn't been done yet. Have you tried looking at the test drive samples to get started?
