I was having problems installing the latest DM Server Tooling (from the consolidated update site http://www.springsource.org/update/e3.4) with the latest nightly of the SpringIDE (from the http://dist.springframework.org/snapshot/IDE/nightly update site). I had a combination of a previous version of the DM tooling working with the nightly SpringIDE, but something must have changed either in the bundles now being deployed or in my Eclipse configuration that caused the plugins to fail to load properly.
In short, there seems to be a problem with a DM Server tooling plugin not resolving because of a couple of dependent third-party bundles that ship with the tooling not installing during Eclipse launch (org.apache.commons.codec and org.apache.commons.httpclient were the culprits). Please see issue https://issuetracker.springsource.com/browse/DMST-55 if this problem is affecting you as well. There is a workaround that involves manually editing the manifest of one of the DM Server Tooling plugins.
Cheers,
