I've tried everything I can think of including a fresh install of Eclipse Europa 3.3, but nothing I do fixes this error message I get trying to install Spring IDE 2.0.5 from the Eclipse update manager:
Unable to retrieve remote reference "http://springide.org/updatesite/features/org.springframework.ide.eclipse.feature.source_2.0 .4.v200803111444.jar".
Server returned HTTP response code: "404 Not Found" for URL: http://springide.org/updatesite/features/org.springframework.ide.eclipse.feature.source_2.0 .4.v200803111444.jar.
When I go up to http://springide.org/updatesite in a browser, it is evident that Eclipse should be looking for "..._2.0.5.v200805211800.jar" and not "..._2.0.4.v200803111444.jar". I tried pointing explicitly to a mirror site but that did not help either.
Sorry to ask what may well be a newbie question, but I would appreciate a suggestion as I really do want to use Spring IDE version 2.0.5. I was using version 2.0.4 in the past but as I mentioned, I deleted the Eclipse directly entirely and extracted it all over again, so I discount that as a factor in this problem I'm having.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions...

The problem I posted about occurred at work. That night I tried to recreate the situation at home, but the Spring IDE update sight was down. ( http://springide.org/updatesite/ ). I got up early the next day and tried again from home. The update site was back up. It went flawlessly. I notice in Eclipse after the update (I selected Spring core, Spring Web Flow, and Spring Security), that the online Eclipse help system for Spring has 3 sections: 1) Spring Framework; 2) Spring Web Flow; and 3) Spring IDE. There is not yet online documentation for Spring Security. Will try to do all this again today at work....
Discouraging news at work. I deleted Eclipse Europa and re-created it from scratch using the original zip file ( eclipse-jee-europa-winter-win32.zip ). I set the Eclipse proxy via: Window...Preferences...General...Network Connections.
Then I did Help...Software Updates...Find and Install....Search for New Features to Install....New Remote Site...http://springide.org/updatesite etc. and got the exact same problem as before:
Unable to retrieve remote reference "http://springide.org/updatesite/features/org.springframework.ide.eclipse.feature.source_2.0 .4.v20"
Sooooooo, as a workaround I downloaded "spring-ide_2.0.5_v200805211800.zip" and unzipped it into a brand new, never before used instance of Eclipse Europa. That appears to have worked okay, but I won't know until I try it for real. The help system portion for Spring shows OSGI in addition to the others: 1) Spring Framework; 2) Spring Web Flow; and 3) Spring IDE.
