What about NetBeans ?

Hello,

I'm new with Spring and just learning it. I usually use NetBeans IDE and I'm surprised that I could not find anything about NetBeans and Spring support. Nether in that form (via Search), nether with Google.

Do you know some web pages which give some tips about NetBeans and Spring support.

No there isnt and I am hoping that changes soon because honestly Netbeans is a lot easier and simpler to use than Eclipse is. To get a decent setup for Eclipse, one has to go hunting all over the web. With Netbeans one can be a lot more productive. That said, I am however using Eclipse 3.2 at the moment, but it took me a few days to get set up with as many free plugins I could find that would enhance the functionality of the IDE. I am also running Netbeans 5.5 Beta 2 on the side. So far since I cant really figure out how to use Spring IDE for Eclipse, it has not enhanced my experience of using Spring in any way, so I am quite happy in using Netbeans or Eclipse at the moment for Spring development.

If you install MyEclipse on top of the standard Eclipse download, it provides pretty much all the plug ins you need. There is a small licence fee but it is worth it. Lots of useful plugins on 1 install, including hibernate mapping generation and spring and struts support.
