Hi Shams,
Spring-WS is a young project and hasn't much documentation.
Did you saw the links at http://www.springframework.org/spring-ws?

I'm actually working on the docs now, if only you guys wouldn't ask so much question on the forum ;-).
The stuff Ingo pointed you to should get you started though. Also, check out the minimal echo sample, and the airline sample which is more complicated.

I noticed a heading in the reference guide, "Spring-WS is meant for Public Web Services".
I'm a newbie to web services, but have a year's experience and a good knowledge of Spring and Acegi's APIs. I need to be able to call web services in our private domain. Would you still recommend Spring WS, and if so, where do I start?
Thanks

Calling Web services is not implemented yet. It is scheduled for the next release, though.

Just wanted to check if calling web services support is in 1.0M3?
Thanks

Yes it is. See http://static.springframework.org/spring-ws/site/reference/html/client.html

That's awesome! I'll refactor my code tomorrow.
However, my project is in production now, and I'm a bit concerned about using an "M" release :) When do you expect 1.0 to be final?
Thanks

Soon :). I originally planned RC1 to be released by the end of this month. However, some new issues popped up, and there is the documentation that needs to be finished. Since we are short of resources, I had to postpone the release to the 21st of May. Depending on the amount of issues that are found afterwards, we will release 1.0 final or more RCs.
