I wanted to let everyone know that eXtremeComponents just hit a major release. The link to the site is http://extremecomponents.org. I thought to post here because I am a really big fan of the Spring Framework and I hope other Spring users find this tag helpful.
The eXtremeComponents are a series of jsp custom tags that render advanced displays, such as tables and trees. The primary tag is called the eXtremeTable and is used to display data in a table format.
I started the eXtremeTable about a year ago because I needed something to represent data in a table format that was fast and reusable. Initially I tried to find a tag in the open source community that would suit my purposes. I found some projects, but none had the plumbing to support what I envisioned. I wanted something that was easily extendable, very pluggable, and a lot of fun to work with. I finally made it!
For version 0.9.0 the eXtremeTable has undergone a serious refactoring, and now boasts a completely pluggable architecture. In addition, I put a huge emphasis on the performance. The eXtremeTable will perform the same whether you want to display 15, 15,000 or 150,000 rows. There is also a new look and feel with the focus on being more user friendly.
I do have a live demo out at the site. The demo shows how to filter, sort, and page through a table result. You can also go way beyond just those features. I have extensive documentation and it is worth looking through that. If you have any questions be sure to contact me. My email is posted on the site. I am always happy to help out if you need further assistance.
Again, the link is http://extremecomponents.org.
